Over the past 18 months, we have found ourselves spending long hours at home thanks to the pandemic. During this time, many turned to gardening as a hobby and for a sense of comfort. Suddenly, vegetable gardens quickly became a trend and we are not complaining. And it seems that actress Preity Zinta is no stranger to the joy and charm of a family garden, either. In a recent post, the Bollywood actress shared with us a video of her picking juicy little strawberries in her garden. Preity Zinta told us that during confinement, her mother helped her plant herbs, fruit shrubs and vegetables in her garden.

In the same article, Preity Zinta wrote: “Now I have strawberries, oranges, peaches, guavas, tomatoes, green and red peppers, green and red peppers, eggplant, mint, basil and lemon that grow around the house. I am so proud of our little organic vegetable garden. Take a look at the post she shared:

I can’t explain how excited I am to see fruits and vegetables growing in our garden. Mom was with me during lockdown last year and we planted all kinds of herbs, fruits and vegetables. pic.twitter.com/9MjH8oBJm6– Preity G Zinta (@realpreityzinta) July 2, 2021

We too are proud of your garden, Preity Zinta. But now we’re hungry after seeing the actress picking fresh strawberries. Well, if you are in the same boat, we suggest you try any of these recipes to satisfy your cravings.

1) Strawberry shortbread heart cookies

Whatever your age, these delicious butter cookies will win you over. You can also add pink chocolate and cranberries to the batter to enhance the recipe. You can have it without eggs, depending on your preference.

2) Strawberry soufflé

Soufflé can be a pretty intimidating dish for many of us, with all the ingredients and fancy techniques that go into making it. Strawberry puree adds a delicate flavor and texture to the dish.

3) Strawberry tiramisu

Now you can get a taste of Italy with this delicious dish. Fresh strawberries, mascarpone, and double cream are some of the ingredients that go into this no-bake dessert recipe.

4) Rasgulla strawberry dome

If you think strawberries cannot be used in Indian recipes, this dish will surprise you. This recipe is a fusion dish that combines rasgulla and strawberries. Wrap the dome in strawberry puree and white chocolate to give it an irresistible look.

5) Strawberry infused kulfi

This frozen delight of milk, cream, sugar and cardamom is revisited with a velvety strawberry purée. Place them in chocolate cups with whipped cream and show off your plating skills.

Tell us how you like to include strawberries in your recipes.
